Today’s walk started off with a return leg to the car for topping off water and cell phones. The solar charger is proving problematic. Unless you’re in direct sun the whole time, it’ll stop charging and will actually discharge the phone. I did not bring a spare battery pack, so I’m having to conserve my charge during the day. The remainder of the walk was on paved road for half the distance. The other half was through marshy terrain and I did get my feet wet several times. It had a cooling effect so was actually a welcome relief. The oak hammocks are beautiful and offer nice shade and a change of scenery. But they’re few and far between. But happy to be out on the wilderness. I encountered a couple of trsil angels who were doing trsil maintenance and they offered the shade of their car, Gatorade and a tuna wrap. Angels are turning up on a daily basis. 😇 Yipee!! I met up with Alan and Sherry late afternoon. They had found the campsite and were already settled in when I arrived, weary from another hot day.
