We finally found a campsite away from road noise and boat traffic. We’re on a stretch of the Kissimmee River that’s been restored to its original oxbow path; however, without any vegetation it’s muddy and the shoreline is virtually inaccessible. We also found out that turkey season starts tomorrow for six days, so will need to be aware of crazy hunters. I guess the shotguns that heard two days ago were target practice. Let’s enjoy the tranquility for the evening at least.
