It’s been rainy the last few days, so instead of breaking camp in the rain with wet tents, we deciddd to stay here an extra night. I took this as an opportunity to swim in the springs, 72•F this morning. Then it cleared and we set off on the Salt Spring Run, Alan and Sherry in a canoe and me in a kayak. It’s a five mile run to Lake George, which wasn’t enough time to do the round trip with a current and headwind, but an enjoyable afternoon nevertheless. Because of the rain the campground has been virtually ours, very quiet. We had a fire last night and made shish kebabs and smores.Alan foraged for Spiderwort as a side, not as tasty as the Smilax we’ve been enjoying.
